Why Central Coast Tinting?
We are a California licensed contractor, bonded and insured with a $1,000,000 liability insurance policy. We are a listed government contractor, and provide our services to an array of architects, builders, and interior designers. We've installed thousands of square feet of solar and safety film on our residential and commercial projects in both Southern and Central California. We offer free energy savings analysis on buildings over 5,000 square feet and in most cases we are able to provide at least one if not more references in close proximity to your residence or commercial project. We provide only the best quality solar films and window coverings for both residential and commercial applications. In most cases an owner of our company will be present.

Our Products
Over the past 25 years we've had the opportunity to sell and install nearly every major brand of window film. Through trial and error we have eliminated the inferior brands, and continue to offer many of the others. While we do offer a wide variety of traditional films like the rest, our preferred film is Spectrally Selective Films, known for their non-reflective appearance and superior clarity! We have been selected from an elite few to be the exclusive dealer of both Huper-Optik Smart Films and Panorama Designer Films for San Luis Obispo County, and feel extremely fortunate for the opportunity to offer these exceptional products to our valued customers.

Film Installation
Installation of solar film is performed on the inside of the window. The process includes razor cleaning the glass surface and surrounding frame. Then applying the film to the glass followed by a squeegee process. Before this is conducted the installer will cover the window sill with towels to absorb water. The floor will be covered with a clean waterproof tarp along with a canvas tarp on top of that. All surrounding furniture will be covered as well. Windows will be cleaned when job is compete and should not be cleaned for 30 days after installation. After that windows can be cleaned as normal avoiding any abrasive or sharp objects. Prior removal of window coverings is helpful as well as moving furniture for window access. If not possible, installers can provide assistance.
